History of Gunsan You may have heard of Jjaebo Wharf if you are from Gunsan. Today we are sharing the last story about Jjaebo wharf. People from all around the nation came to buy Yellow Corvina Jeotgal(salted fish) to make Kimchi every fall. There were quite a lot of Japanese shipowners in the crowded market place, but a very few Korean shipowners. Those few Korean shipowners were very well off, so Japanese people could not walk over them. You can still find the Jeotgal tank that they used to use. We hope the new generation could preserve the old rustic yet historical heritage. Gunsan port used to be one of three major ports in Korea but what we see now is empty aged buildings. We may have to consider these a lesson to learn not just old faded glories in the past. It is still part of the valuable history of Korea. #Gunsan #Korea #travelKorea #Jjaebo
