#christinanicci Looking for a natural skincare routine that actually works? In this video, I’ll show you how to ditch the toxic ingredients in conventional products and switch to non-toxic skincare that supports your skin from the inside out. We’ll cover why what you put on your skin matters, how your skin functions as your body’s first line of defense. Then I’ll walk you through my favorite DIY face cream recipe using clean ingredients like shea butter, aloe vera, olive oil, and essential oils like lavender, frankincense, and myrrh. If you’ve been wanting a homemade moisturizer that’s safe, nourishing, and free from preservatives, this is it. This holistic skincare approach gives your skin everything it needs—without the chemicals. Whether you have sensitive skin, dry skin, or just want to simplify your skincare routine, you’ll love how easy and effective this is. Timestamps: 0:00 – Intro 0:09 – Why What You Put on Your Skin Matters 0:17 – What Your Skin Does for You 1:02 – Worst Offenders in Skincare Products 3:49 – Homemade Skincare Recipe Ingredients: • 1.5 tbsp shea butter • 2.5 tbsp olive oil (or mix with sweet almond or grapeseed oil for a lighter feel) • 3 tbsp aloe vera liquid (fractionally distilled) • ⅓ tsp beeswax (optional, for gentle barrier support) • ½ tsp tapioca starch (for smooth texture + natural emulsification) • 2 drops each: lavender, vetiver, myrrh, patchouli, frankincense essential oils Instructions: 1. Melt Oils & Wax In a double boiler or heat-safe bowl over simmering water, melt the shea butter and beeswax until fully liquefied. 2. Add Olive Oil Remove from heat and stir in the olive oil. Let it cool slightly—still liquid but no longer hot. 3. Mix the Liquid Phase In a separate bowl, whisk the aloe vera liquid with tapioca starch until smooth and lump-free. 4. Whip Together Begin whipping the oil mixture with a hand mixer. Slowly drizzle in the aloe/starch mixture while continuing to whip for emulsification. 5. Add Essential Oils Add essential oils and whip for another 3–5 minutes until the cream becomes light and fluffy. 6. Set the Texture If too soft, chill the mixture in the fridge for 5–10 minutes, then whip again to fluff it up. 7. Store Transfer to a clean jar or container. Store at room temp for 2–3 weeks, or in the fridge for up to a month. 🚨FREE Wellness Newsletter Blueprint 8 https://blueprint8.beehiiv.com/subscribe ✉️ [email protected]
