Don't forget to LIKE, COMMENT and SUBSCRIBE! I have 3 simple stage designs that I use as part of my live fire training. Using a well thought out simple stage design as part of your training routine can significantly help develop your skills and techniques. Keeping it simple is key as you want the setup and teardown to be quick and easy or you will likely not use the stage on a regular basis. Use minimal stage props and design the stage so that it can be easily modified to address other skills / technique you need to work on. My 3 simple stages can be modified into 15 different stages using all the same props. Using a stage to train will simulate a number of aspects of shooting a match and adding a training partner will bring match stress and competition into play. All of which is important in the development of your IPSC shooting skills, techniques and mental preparation for matches. Always use a timer and keeping track of your performance is important as well. The use of scoring sheets or better yet, a scoring app such a the Double Alpha app will provide you with all the stats you require to track your progression. Finally, the use of a video camera such as the Contour Roam, will allow you to analyze what you are doing right and wrong in training and at matches. The review of your video will allow you to determine what you need to work on at your next training session whether its dry or live fire training.
