Don't forget to LIKE - COMMENT - SUBSCRIBE! Thanks! This is my introductory video to my new video series called IPSC Quick Tip. As I enjoy promoting and fostering the sport of IPSC shooting (for that matter any type of shooting), coaching and mentoring, I like to share my shooting and training experiences and knowledge. I have always had the intention of creating some sort of IPSC training / information tips video series as part of my YouTube Channel, Shooter's Inc. My intent is to post a new IPSC Quick Tips episode every two weeks. I started shooting IPSC in June 2010. I have shot over 50 matches to date including: 6 x Provincial Championships (Level 3), 4 x Canadian National Champions (Level 3), 2014 US National Championship (Level 3) and the 2014 IPSC World Shoot XVII (Level 5). I was a member of the Canadian Senior Standard Team for the 2014 Worlds. I absolute enjoy IPSC shooting and when I get involved in a sport, I go all the way: get all the required equipment, learn more about the sport, train regularly and so on. It wasn't hard to get so involved / interested in IPSC as shooting has been my passion for some 35 years and I have shot competitively for 21 years (rifle - small and large bore, pistol - bullseye, combat shooting (military pistol team for 6 years), IPSC and just started IDPA). When I started IPSC shooting, all that I knew about the sport was what I learned on my Black Badge Course. I did know that I had a lot more to learn but didn't have anyone to turn to for answers to my questions and didn't know of any IPSC resources (books, DVDs, etc). After some surfing on the Internet, I started to find information and of course all the big names started to pop up: Eric Grauffel, Saul Kirsch, Max Michel, Ben Stoeger, Jessie Duff, JJ Racarza, Rob Leatham, and Todd Jarrett just to name few. Well, finding this information pointed me in the right direction. I found Saul Kirsch's books and DVDs first and they were my "bible" to IPSC shooting for the first few years. Then I steadily found other IPSC shooting videos on YouTube and other books and DVDs. I started to spread the word to all my fellow shooters as I figured this information was too valuable to keep to myself. I especially made a point to shared this information with all new IPSC shooters that I met on the range and at matches. I intend to cover many different topics such as training resources (books and DVDs), shooting drills, review equipment, belt setup and do pistol reviews just to name a few things. In July 2014, I took Eric Grauffel's Level I, II and III courses where I learned a great deal. I have always believed that even an "old dog" can learn new tricks! And I did!! I have already shared one great drill that I learned from Eric on Target Transitions. I posted a video on this drill in August 2014 called IPSC Training Drill - Target Transitions - • IPSC Training Drill - Target Transitions . This is only one of many drills used by Eric and I intend to post videos of the many other drills that I learned from him. As a side note, I highly recommend Eric Grauffel's courses. As an instructor he is excellent, tough and demands that your shoot your best! If he sees a fault while you're shooting, he isn't shy to point it out!! Be prepared to lose many of your magazines while training with him but don't worry, he'll give you a chance to win them back! Here is a secret...don't shoot Deltas while on his course(s) and definitely don't hit no-shoot targets! I look forward to comments and topic suggestions. I will do my best to review all comments regularly and if possible I will create a video on some of the suggested topics.
