(Sorry for terrible audio, used my old mic and had all kinds of electrical interference) Today I'm rigging a Gundam in Blender 2.9 for animation/posing but the important take away here is WEIGHT PAINTING! By controlling the influence each armature bone has on a 3d mesh, you can give it that nice blocky feeling whether you're animating machines for a video game or posing a robot for a 3d model print. I KNOW it's not an ideal rig job, but I'm just sharing the super easy technique I use when weight painting an armature for a Gundam mobile suit mesh. The finished 3d Model (I made some improvements to this version from the video. I really should have been less lazy because some animations didn't orient the legs correctly the first time.
