Starting from our hotel (after “Frank” the 109 has an oil seal replacedand shoes cleaned of any oil) in Hungary 🇭🇺, we headed southwest into Croatia 🇭🇷 passing Zagreb. We arrived at the Željava Airbase, an abandoned large Cold War facility with runways and an extensive underground bunker network that housed military jet aircraft. After wheeled exploration underground we had a drag race on the long runways ending in a heated conversation with the Bosnian 🇧🇦 Police Force. Being careful not to stray off the beaten trackas there are still large amounts of live land mines in the area. Afterwards had a few beers at the bar where we wild camp next to the C47 transport Aeroplane for the night meeting Overlanders from all over Europe. Next morning Team Frank removed his overdrive after a few “issues” while we went screen down to explore the massive Airbase.
