Betty demonstrates how to make Pecan Sage Cornbread Dressing. This is a traditional Southern recipe that is great to accompany a holiday turkey. Pecan-Sage Cornbread Dressing ½ stick butter 1 medium to large onion, chopped 2 ribs celery, chopped ½ of an 8-inch square pan of cornbread, crumbled ½ bag Pepperidge Farm Herb-Seasoned Stuffing 1 tablespoon rubbed sage 1 cup chopped pecans (4) 14.5-ounce cans chicken broth cooking oil spray In a medium-sized skillet, melt ½ stick butter. Add onion and celery and saute until softened. In a very large bowl, combine crumbled cornbread, stuffing, softened onion and celery, sage, and pecans. Stir in chicken broth. The mixture will be soupy. Pour mixture into a 13-inch by 9-inch by 2-inch baking dish that has been sprayed with cooking oil spray. Bake at 350 degrees (F) for 35 minutes, or until brown and crisp around the edges. Remove from oven and serve immediately. I hope you love this holiday dressing as much as my family does!
