After a relative disappointment at the Steamtown National Historic Site, we were looking for another place to shoot some trains before the big day. To our surprise, there was a hidden gem in Honesdale PA. The Stourbridge Line. This line was designed to haul coal from Pennsylvania to service ports in New York. This line was also the location of where the first steam locomotive touched and ran on rails in 1829. So, the line is an extremely historic line. Power for the Stourbridge Line is an EMD FP7: Former PRR #9880. Which hauled both passengers and freight originally on the CP. What made it cool was instead of a horn, it was equipped with a Hancock 4700 air whistle. Which are very unique, and also kind of pretty.
