Riding and training horses all begins with correct rider position. I often say, “the better you are, the better your horse will be”. Without a correct and balanced position you will never be able to effectively communicate to your horse and your safety will be compromised. A correctly balanced rider will land on her feet if the horse was to disappear out from under her. A correct rider leg position means that her leg should stay under her hip; not too far forward or too far back. Ensuring a soft bend in the knee and ankle will encourage a correct leg position. There are many elements to the rider's position and this video briefly and specifically shows a correct leg position. As always, please feel free to ask questions in the comments section below. Thanks for watching! This video is about correct rider leg position. Why correct rider leg position is important is explained in this video. This video gives tips and examples of what the rider can do to achieve correct rider leg position.
