Exclusive First Impressions Review: • Diablo III Console Edition First Impressio... Which is better? Diablo 3 on the console or on the PC? In this video I go over some of the differences between the two versions that should help you decide which one is right for you. One I missed: Paragon levels are account wide in the console version now! This feature will be coming to the PC in a patch before the expansion pack. No Latency - Offline Single player and 4 player co-op! DODGE ROLLS: While rolling only take 1 damage from hits. Can roll through doors and barrels. Can break Jailer. Nephalem Glory: Gives you faster move speed and you explode enemies dealing addiitonal damage. Triggered when you pick up a rarish golden globe. You can stack the effectiveness of the buff by picking up another glory Duration extended with whenever you pick up health globes. No Auction House: Removal of a feature but seen as a positive. led to other changes that support self-found gameplay. Drop Rates: Overall less items drop on console. On average those items will be more powerful. May feature a smart loot system where things better for your character are more likely to drop. Items Have Been Buffed Overall: Legendaries have higher stats. Legendaries will drop scaled to the level of the mob you kill (coming to PC) Items overall are much more powerful than on PC. This may be a bad thing as the game might get too easy too quickly at end game. Rare items are automatically identified. Only legendaries need Identifying now. A lot of quests now give items as rewards - much more satisfying. DRAWBACKS: Aoe abilities are a bit harder to use well. Auto center on mobs or can be manually targetted with L2. The Witch Doctor is a bit awkward to play as a result. Less precise controls. Autotargetting works very well but you are trading some precision for more action-oriented gameplay. Overall the Console version looks to be very impressive. My hands on time with it was a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to my copy arriving in the mail soon.
