I Review Your Answers About Transponder Code, Runway Markings and, QNH.

In today's video, I will analyze your answers to the questions I posted on the PILOTCLIMB community tab. The first question I analyze is the following: If you are experiencing a radio communication failure, which code would you set on your Transponder? The right answer is 7600, you set up this transponder when you are unable to communicate with the Air Traffic Controllers. By using this Transponder Code the Controller will see in his/her radar screen that you are experiencing a radio failure. The second question is about runway markings, from the picture posted on the community tab you can a runway that has 2 thresholds and two X signs. Even though it looks strange, this type of runway markings makes sense when there is work in progress. Specifically, the Airport in the picture is increasing the runway length. The third question is about Altimeter settings: Which Altimeter Pressure Setting would you use to get your ALTITUDE? We have to remember that the altitude is different expressed in feet from the Mean Sea Level to your AIrcraft. So, the QNH is what you need to set on your altimeter in order to get the Altitude displayed on your altimeter.
