Insane Tractor-Trailer Rollover UNDER a Bridge! It's been a good while since we had such an incredibly difficult job like this. We do tons and tons of winchouts, heavy lifts and "basic" rollovers that we make look like childs play. But this job humbled us and reminded us that you can't use brute strength to complete every job. For starters, it was under a bridge. Not just partially, but both tractor and trailer under the entire bridge. Second and probably the most difficult part, was the trailer was a dry van 53' trailer. Containers are by far so easy because of how rigid they are and the easy corner holes to lift. Even reefer trailers are preferred because those walls are very thick and hold up much better. Dry van trailers like this one are by far the weakest and easiest to tear open. Alex and Dave were first on scene and determined the boom height needed to complete the job would not be possible under the bridge. They decided to winch out the entire unit out from the bridge and into the lanes. It was HEAVY! Big Flipper was pulling over 80,000lbs of dry weight on the floor. Was not a super fast process, but Big Flipper completed this part and then was used to swing the tractor over to make it all straight. Now the final part, using the rotators to pre-pick and rig our air bags. The air bags are crucial to these jobs and a lack of using them is why so many other towers struggle with loaded trailers. Unfortunately they weren't able to fully place the front one since the trailer was already close to ripping, but it still helped and as you'll see, they did a clean and smooth upright while keeping everything in tact. From here it was split and both units towed separately. It's been a while since I posted a super tough job like this one, what did you guys think of it?
