Hey Guy’s! Welcome back to my channel. In today’s video I’m going to make a Ooey Gooey Butter Cake. This was my first time making it but it definitely won’t be the last time. It was absolutely delicious 😋 This recipe is a combination of two recipes. The first and most important recipe is for my sweet potato pie. The second is the recipe for my Ooey Gooey Butter Cake AKA Chess Cake. Crust: 1 Box Butter Cake Mix 1/2 Stick Melted Butter 1 Egg Mix these ingredients together until well combined. This mixture will be thick. Press down into the bottom of a non-greased 9 X 13 baking pan. Set aside. Sweet Potato Pie Filling: 5 to 6 Medium Sweet Potatoes, washed and scrubbed. Peel the skins off and place into a medium sized mixing bowl. Beat with a mixer to break up the stringy parts of the sweet potatoes. Do this two or three times. Cleaning the beaters between each mixing. Add: 2 Teaspoons Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon Allspice or Nutmeg 2 Tablespoons Vanilla Extract 1 Tablespoon Rum Liquor 1 Cup White Sugar 1 Cup Brown Sugar 1 Stick Melted Avocado Oil Butter 3 Large Eggs 1/2 Can Carnation Evaporated Milk Mix everything together. Give it a taste to make sure that ut tastes like you want it to taste. Set aside. Top Layer: 2 8 Ounce Blocks of Cream Cheese, softened 2 Cups Powdered Sugar 2 Large Eggs 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract Mix all of these ingredients together until smooth, set aside. Pour half of the sweet potato pie filling on top of the crust. Smooth over the crust. Pour all of the cheap cheese filling over the pie filling. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 50 minutes. Let cool completely then place in the refrigerator to firm up before slicing. Once it’s firm slice and eat. If serving at room temp the cake slices easier once the first slice is cut. Enjoy ☺️
