Some time ago, I decided that since I was enjoying recording my piano so much, it was time to upgrade my equipment from my trusty MV88 Smartphone Microphone. This microphone is great plug and play and I still use it to this day for recording my practice sessions. For my YouTube videos, I bought myself a Zoom F6 Audio Recorder which has an amazing feature called 32 Bit Floating Point Audio. Basically, the equivalent of RAW in a DSLR Camera in that it records so much information, it is almost impossible to ruin the recording as the files can be manipulated after the event in software without any loss of quality. This video looks at how we can edit those 32 Bit Float Audio Files and I'll demonstrate using Cubase LE Elements (as I got a free license to this great software with my purchase of the F6). My original videos on the Zoom F6 are: Welcome to the Zoom F6 | No More Clipped Audio | • Bulletproof Piano Recording | No More Clip... Five Reasons the F6 is Ideal for Pianists | • Record Piano | 5 Reasons why the Zoom F6 ...
