On October 23, 2025, Katie Hasara interviewed Connie Bauer who got her love of The Mormon Trail as a young girl from the stories her mother shared with her. Connie has spent decades learning about and sharing trail history with people helping them get out on the trails through conducting tours tailored specifically to individual's family history. This interview was conducted as part of the Utah Humanities Grant Titled “New Tales for Old Trails to Utah - Oral Histories by the People Who Discovered Them. This project is made possible through an Oral History Grant from Utah Humanities, The Utah Historical Society, and funding from The National Mormon Trails Association & The Mormon Battalion Association.
