THE JOURNEY - SYNOPSIS: Passing Samaritan Ozzy (Jason Flemyng, Pennyworth, Pugwash) who prevents the suicide of Will, (Marc Zammit, Homeless Ashes) tells him the tale of three men he met in Greece, each of whom had planned to take their life. Jason, (Duncan Pow, Rogue One) is dealing with the sudden death of his best friend Angela, while Hector, (Dickon Tolson, Rocketman) has lost his wife. The plans of both men change when fate conspires to lead them on a different path. Hector meets a local Priest (Stelios Kalaitzis) and also befriends Atia, (Mitchell Lewis, Rise of the Footsoldier) a soldier who recently returned from Libya. Meanwhile, assisted by a local taxi driver, (Tasos Nousias) Jason finds himself an unwilling council to a recently divorced hotel guest, Barbara. (Lindsey Coulson, Eastenders). Surrounded by the beauty of the island, the pain the men feel begins to ebb away as each helps a stranger resolve their own emotional conflicts. But is everything as it seems? Who is the mysterious ‘Woman in White’ that follows them all? (Velile Tshabalala, Doctor Who) Do hotel owners Rosy and Nondas, and fellow traveler Ozzy appear to know more than they’re letting on? All will be revealed in THE JOURNEY The story of The Journey is loosely based on writer/director Lance Nielsen’s first experience of traveling to Greece in 2009 following the tragic death of his friend Angela Thomas, to whom the film is dedicated.
