Srikrishna Haldankar (September 29, 1927–November 17, 2016), better known as Babanrao Haldankar, learnt first from Mogubai Kurdikar, the Jaipur Gharana's doyenne, in the 1950s. Khadim Hussain Khan of Agra gharana moved to Bombay in 1959 and Babanrao went on to study under him for the next two decades. He was also an Adjunct Professor of Indian Music at the University of Bombay.
