None of these reviews I do are sponsored in any way as well which means they are my complete and honest thoughts! Free fly was founded in 2011 and is seen as a coastal lifestyle brand that’s branding revolves around fishing. Their products are meant to be used at the beach and have a coastal athleisure vibe to them as well. Free FLY Believes in simple and comfortable pieces and most of their clothing is made up from Bamboo. I was introduced by the brand at Atlantic beach here in NC where I saw it in a local surf shop. I thought the styles were cool and they had some cool coastal branding. Alright so I decided to do another hoodie review video as I was getting out some of my fall pieces since its starting to cool down a bit here. Okay so this is the Men's Bamboo Fleece Pullover Hoody and is priced at $88. This is a good price for this hoodie as most of the hoodies I have are well over $100. There is over 200 reviews on the website and is one of their most popular pieces. Customers are complementing the fit and feel of the bamboo fabric and also complementing how durable it is as well. Online the hoodie looks like it would fit great and the material looks really nice as well. Okay so this hoodie is made up of 67% bamboo 29% polyester and 4% spandex. The website mentions turning inside out and washing on cold when you are washing which I feel is a bit odd. Free fly is known from making their apparel from bamboo which they claim is sun-protective and super comfortable. It does feel good to the touch and feels super similar to cotton but a bit softer. The hoodie has a good sized hood that is not too big or small but fits nicely. It has an adjustable drawstring too, but as you can see here mine is not there anymore. After washing one day I noticed that it had come out. It doesn’t really bother me that much because I was always messing with the strings to make sure they were the same length and didn’t love that. It also has a classic joey pouch on the front that lets your hands meet in the middle and go all the way through. I like this joey pouch too because it is sleek and doesn’t stick out as much as a regular hoodie would when standing or sitting. The arm cuffs are good too and don’t fall down your hand. They are tight and the sleeves are a great length too. When trying this hoodie on I notice that it fits me well. I got a size large and weight 180 pounds. I am also about 5’10 and a 42 chest. The material feels nice on the body and has some really nice stretch to it. Free Fly is branded towards fishing so this is nice when you are moving on a boat or reeling in your line. The material feels heavier than that of a lululemon hoodie but is super soft. I think that this piece is a bit more of a lounge piece because it can sometimes get super hot when walking in or working out on the humid coast. I use it more for loungewear around the house instead of performance and it works perfect for that. Its even nice wearing out to grab a beer with the boys. As mentioned before the material is good and softer than cotton, but it doesn’t provide the performance aspect for me. I would buy this hoodie again but mostly just to chill in. I think they could get rid of the drawstring around the hood because I just don’t feel like it needs it. Overall this is a pretty solid hoodie for the price in my opinion. You can not only feel good but look good too when wearing and the colors are very cool looking. It performs really well in the cold and are comfortable when wearing indoors as well. I would rate this hoodie a 7.3 out of 10 and I definitely recommend giving this hoodie a try especially if you travel to the coast often.
