Is HBO's The Last of Us the Best Video Game Adaptation Ever?

The Last of Us is a tragic show. After Naughty Dog released the Last of Us to universal acclaim, it seemed like it was only a matter of time before the game got a live action adaptation. With a compelling worldbuilding, interesting well fleshed out characters and perhaps the best narrative seen in a video game, The Last of Us had all the makings of an incredible show. When HBO was announced to be handling the project and they were bringing on Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin as showrunners, it seemed almost too good to be true. I am happy to say that the Last of Us show does justice to its source material as it fully realizes the story and characters, bringing them into a new medium so that more people can experience all they have to offer. It is truly a special show.
