AlpenX 2022, Etappe 4: Von Gunzesried nach Oberstdorf

Die 4.Etappe unserer Alpenüberquerung auf dem europäischen Fernwanderweg E5 führte von Gunzesried/ Blaichach nach Oberstdorf. Wegen Christianes Fußverletzung stand auch ein Bahntransfer zur Debatte. Da es sich um eine Flachetappe entlang der Iller handelte, sind wir dann doch die knapp 20 km zu Fuß gegangen. Der Weg entlang der Iller bot immer wieder schöne Blicke auf dieselbe, aber auch auf die Allgäuer Hügel und Berge rechts und links des Weges. Im schönen Oberstdorf angekommen, ließ sich eine Genesungsunterbrechung nicht mehr vermeiden. Somit gab es für uns immerhin die Möglichkeit, uns in Oberstdorf gründlich umzuschauen, bevor es auf die Kernetappen durch die Alpen ging. Viel Spaß beim Zuschauen! The 4th stage of our crossing of the Alps on the European long-distance hiking trail E5 led from Gunzesried/ Blaichach to Oberstdorf. Because of Christiane's foot injury, a train transfer was also up for debate. Since it was a flat stage along the Iller, we walked the almost 20 km. The path along the Iller repeatedly offered beautiful views of the same, but also of the Allgäu hills and mountains to the right and left of the path. Arrived in beautiful Oberstdorf, an interruption to recovery could no longer be avoided. So at least we had the opportunity to take a good look around in Oberstdorf before we went on the core stages through the Alps. Have fun watching!
