CHANYACHI USALI is a traditional dish of Goa especially prepared in Diwali. It is a very tasty and relishing dish. Ingredients: White dry chana green chilli curry leaves sambar masala (recipe in the description box of chanyacho ros) link for chanyacho ros: • How to make Chanyacho Ros / Patal Bhaji Go... mustard seeds fresh grated coconut red chilli powder / whole red chilli haldi jaggery hing piece of ginger roasted mustard seed powder (optional) pepper powder (optional) soak white dry chanas overnight and pressure cook in very little water, salt and sambar powder. for the masala paste: grind fresh grated coconut, hing, salt, red chilli powder, haldi, jaggery coarsely. (can add roasted mustards and few pepper corns here) Add this masala paste to the cooked chanas. In a pan heat oil for seasoning. Add hing, rai (mustard seeds) curry leaves and green chillies (can add coarsely ground green chillies if you want it more spicy) Now add the chana mixture, and cook for a few mins, covered. garnish with coriander leaves (optional).
