Double Deckers have happened on the route before, namely the centre staircase PVLs, though this was during it's LDPs refurbishment I believe. Since then double deckers have been a godsend rare, until this year when 45/176/188 swapped over, Croydon (C) thought why not send one, as during the reblinding process of these for the X26, why not include 355? As typical Metrobus (albeit now properly owned by Go-Ahead London) would have blinds on all their routes on any type of bus, you'd probably see 434 (restricted to 8.9m E200s) on the sets of an OmniDekka, 75/161/320/353 on the sets of single deckers and have proven that fact with actual strays or as extras (161, DLR being down). As for the actual ride, I boarded just before the crush hour fully kicked in, by Brixton it only picked up 15 people or so, (Station and Town Hall combined), though by this point the lower deck was almost cramped due to only 3 people going on the supposedly plagued upper deck. By the time I got off at Clapham Park, it was roughly still the same, but with 0 humans upstairs. In my opinion, if 355 saw more double deckers in the past if not as an allocation, it's presence would've been noticed and possibly become more busier, as there was many people who had second thoughts yet still stepped foot on this double decker. I've also heard remarks about how there's a double decker 355, at least visibly noticeable though if this keeps up, I do wonder if it's patronage would increase if ever at all?
