Springtime in Alaska

A land tour and cruise with Princess Cruises in 2009 We stated in Fairbanks and then travelled on the Alaska Railroad to Denali where we stayed at the Denali Wilderness lodge. Next, we rejoined the railroad to transfer to Talkeetna where we stayed at the Mt McKinley Wilderness Lodge. From here we visited Anchorage before continuing by coach to the Kenai Wilderness Lodge. Then we transferred to Whitier to join the Sapphire Princess. First port was First port was Skagway, where we took a trip on the Yukon and White Pass Railroad. Nest came to Juneau, capital of Alaska, where we took an amazing whale watching trip. Overnight we sailed to Ketchikan and went to see a former salmon cannery. Finally, we sailed through the Inside Passage to Vancouver to head for our flight home.
