This short video provides a teach of a Line Dance LOCK STEP. Also, see below for the complete list of 30 teaches of basic linedance steps and then just click on any one to view the teach. This video demonstrates a right and left Lock Step forward A Lock Step can be danced forward or back. This video shows a right and left Lock step to a 1&2, 3&4 rhythm Lock Steps are often syncopated or to a cha cha rhythm but can also be danced to a two step rhythm - i.e. quick, quick, slow. THIS VIDEO USES A STUDENT CENTRED APPROACH:- and is intentionally a short teach - approx 1 minute. The teach is followed by a QUICK REPEAT to aid understanding. The student can simply repeat the video, for personal use, as often as required and can be used by an absolute beginner and/or by a dancer revising steps learnt in class. A long teach is NOT provided as the short approach allows the student to decide the time spent on learning the move - (which is student centred).
