The 8th round of talks between India and China has began in Chushul, where India is likely to demand complete disengagement of troops along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh. The last round of talks between India and China over the border issue was held on October 12 in which the two sides discussed a number of measures for de-escalation and disengagement in the eastern Ladakh sector. India and China have been locked in a bitter standoff along the LAC for more than six months.
