We walked from the Charoen Krung area to the Bangkokian Museum in Bang Rak, and the air was smoky enough that we wore masks most of the way. The museum, sometimes called the Bangkok Folk Museum, is a small group of preserved mid-century homes tucked down a quiet lane off Charoen Krung. Inside, the rooms are set up with everyday furniture and household items, and it feels more like stepping into someone’s old house than visiting a big formal museum. We took our time walking the grounds, looking through the buildings, and then headed back out into the city.
