This was one of my bunica's favourite recipes growing up in Romania. A simple, humble dish... but absolutely comforting and delicious. Full recipe: ≥m Tăieței cu pesmet 3 Tbsp. butter 100 g of breadcrumbs 80 g of sugar ¼ tsp. Ground cinnamon 250 g dried egg noodles To finish: 1 Tbsp. butter 1. Add the butter to a large pan and heat over medium heat. Add your breadcrumbs and slowly toast, stirring all the time, until they are a lovely dark golden brown. Pour the breadcrumbs out into a bowl and let them cool to room temperature. Finally, stir in the sugar and cinnamon and set aside until needed. 2. Cook your noodles in boiling, salted water until cooked through, strain well and then immediately toss with the remaining 1 Tbsp. of butter. Now, take about ¾ of your breadcrumbs and stir them into your noodles. Plate your noodles and sprinkle with the remaining bread crumbs. Serve immediately.
