Exploring Chernobyl: How Radiation Changes a Territory | Andrea Bonisoli Alquati | TEDxCPP

Explore Chernobyl with Dr. Andrea Bonisoli Alquati as he explains the effects that radiation has on a territory and the surrounding ecosystem. Andrea Bonisoli Alquati was born in Cremona, Italy. He has a Ph.D. in Ecology from the University of Milan, Italy, and is currently Assistant Professor of Environmental Toxicology in the Department of Biological Sciences at Cal Poly Pomona. His research focuses on the environmental consequences of the nuclear disasters of Chernobyl and Fukushima, and of the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. He has published more than 30 scientific articles, and has led several research expeditions to Chernobyl, Fukushima and other areas over three continents.
