The Cementer is the last train of the day during an operating session. Its purpose is to pull the loaded cement cars from the cement mills in Bath, Pennsylvania, and take these back east to Port Morris Yard in Netcong, New Jersey for forwarding to destinations in the New York City area and New England. The train arrives with empty cement cars to spot to replace the loaded cars it pulls to insure the cement mills have empty cars on hand in the morning to load. The video of the Cementer's operation is broken into two parts. Part 1 of the operation of the train from staging to Bath, PA. The pulling of the loaded cement cars from the cement mills and weighing the cars. Part 2 covers the spotting of the empty cars into the cement mills, building the outbound train and its operation back to the staging yard.
