After their tough lost against the 49ers in the NFC Championship last year, it was evident that their defense needed help. Using trade and the draft, they brought in a lot of talent for their defense. They were ready to start the season against the Los Angeles Rams. The game went into overtime, and David Montgomery, the running back, put the team on his back. Thanks to his strong running, the Detroit Lions won. They then suffered a heart breaking lost against the Buccaneers in week 2, however, they were able to bounce back with a victory against The Arizona Cardinals the following week. Then they entered week 4 against the Seattle Seahawks, a team they have failed to beat in the last 3 seasons. Jared Goff had a perfect game going 18 for 18 with zero incompletions. Thanks to his performance, the Detroit Lions finally beat The Seahawks. On to week 6 against the Dallas Cowboys. A team that many feel like the Lions got cheated by the refs last season. It was revenge time, and revenge the Lions got. They demolished the Cowboys. That concludes part 1 of this season.
