But how do these activities and principles translate to non-human animals? In this talk, Dr Fay Clark explains how Bristol Zoological Society has been at the forefront of zoo animal ‘cognitive enrichment’ for the past seven years. She guides you through the link between brains, behaviour and feelings, before discussing two long-term research projects: Gorilla Game Lab and Lemur Bootcamp. Fay gives insights on what it’s like to work up close and personal with large, charismatic zoo animals - from gorillas and chimpanzees to dolphins and seals.
