Flying from Alexander Bay to Upington, direct, over Namibia

This was the third flight of an unforgettable cross country flight I did on 7 January 2023, from Alexander Bay to Upington. The ATC on that day is an old friend of mine, as you will be able to tell from the video. Alexander Bay has a special meaning for me because of a rather close connection I have with Brazil. I used to live and work in Brazil, and have been on the Johannesburg - São Paulo flight 50 times. The flight always left South Africa at Alexander Bay, and the scenery from Upington to Alexander Bay is breath taking. Flying there in a small plane allows me to appreciate the scenery up close, and ATC helped by giving me a direct route. Arriving at Upington I stayed in a holding position to allow faster and bigger traffic to land first. After landing I chatted to the pilots, who are busy with aerial surveys for Google Earth.
