This is a simple Plié at the barre in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions with Port de Bras or upper body coordination. It is danced to the tune of the “No. 1 A Minor Waltz” romantic classical music by Esther Abrami. I also have a video defining the Plié ballet movement technique and teaching a simpler version facing the barre with both hands for support and focusing on the action of the legs, without the added complication of arm movements and coordinated upper-body work that I demonstrate in this video.
