Hiking Trail 5 Islamabad | Margalla Hills | Pakistan 4K As you know the capital of Pakistan Islamabad is famous for its beauty. There are very few capital cities in the world that are blessed with such close accessibility to nature as Islamabad. You can experience the beauty of the Margalla Hills and Islamabad by going on Refreshing Hikes under the trees. Before starting let me summarize what you have to consider, if you are going for hike on one the trails, you should keep a mobile phone for contacts, drinking water bottles and some fruits and be aware not to litter as it is a natural forest with some animals and be aware of these wild animals like leopards, monkeys and many kinds of birds. Trail 5 is about 5km and there are safety signs which you should follow as the white sign is safe to go, yellow sign indicates difficult way and red is for no entry or dangerous way. The Margalla Hills are the continuation of the Himalayan mountain range. The soil on the hill is fertile and completely covered with green trees, herbaceous plants and rocks. The forest on the hills is the natural habitat for a variety of animals and birds. The good thing about trail 5 is, it has an initial 1.8km trail straight without any steep hike. So, people who cannot hike steep heights due to any issues can easily enjoy the first 1.8km without any difficulties. After that you can either continue on trial 5 or one can take the bypass route to trail 3 as well. After 1.8km the real hike starts which is the steep one.
