From Myoko, Japan Powder to WA Rocks! 🪨 (Thunderbolt Black Diamond POV) My ski partner Karsten just got back from a legendary two-week deep powder trip to Myoko, Japan... so naturally, we took him straight to the rockiest, thinnest cover we could find at Summit West! 😂 Despite the notoriously low-snow season here in Western Washington, we had an absolute blast pair skiing down Thunderbolt (Black Diamond). It was a wild, fast-paced mix of dodging bushes, navigating tight moguls, and sketchy sends over exposed rocks. ⚠️ An important apology: While editing this footage, I realized that during one of my jumps, I accidentally cut off a teenage skier, causing him to get spooked and take a small fall. I genuinely did not see him in the moment, but that is 100% my fault. I am really sorry to that kid! It’s a humbling reminder for me to always double-check my landings and blind spots before catching air. I will absolutely be more careful moving forward.
