Daily Gospel Reflection – March 10, 2026 | The Power of Forgiveness | By Lam Naing

Daily Gospel Reflection for March 10, 2026 Today's readings invite us to reflect deeply on God’s mercy and the call to forgive others. In the Gospel from Matthew 18:21-35, Peter asks Jesus how many times we must forgive someone who sins against us. Jesus answers with a radical teaching: “Not seven times but seventy-seven times.” Through the parable of the unforgiving servant, Jesus reminds us that we who have received God’s immense mercy are called to extend that same mercy to others. The first reading from Daniel 3:25, 34-43 shows the humble prayer of Azariah in the fiery furnace, reminding us that a contrite and humble heart is pleasing to God. Psalm 25 continues this prayer: “Teach me your ways, O Lord.” This reflection invites us to open our hearts to God's mercy and to allow His love to transform our hearts so that we may forgive as He forgives.
