The final 26 minutes of Ajit Pawar's flight are now central to the crash investigation. The aircraft made contact with Baramati at 8:18 am. and was permitted to descend at the pilot's discretion due to the airfield being uncontrolled. Despite calm winds and reported visibility of around 3,000 metres, the crew failed to spot the runway during the first approach and executed a go-around. After confirming the runway was in sight, the aircraft was cleared for a second landing at 8:43 am., but no readback was received. A minute later, flames were seen near the runway, marking the tragic end of the flight.
