If you are struggling to break their grip you can headbutt your opponent or stomp their feet or kick them in the shins to distract them. Once free, make sure you are continuing to hold on to their hands/wrists as you step out and turn to face them to avoid your opponent punching you from behind where you cannot defend; If needed you can also push your opponent's farthest arm away from you to buy you more time. As you turn toward your opponent, keep hold of their closer hand and attempt to secure a finger or wrist lock, and while doing this, strike your opponent's jaw with a small uppercut. With the lead hand, trap your opponent's arm if possible, pulling them toward you and with your non lead hand, punch your opponent either in the jaw, temple or neck depending on which target is available to you. Next, with your non lead hand, continue to trap your opponent's arm if possible and with your lead hand, punch/elbow your opponent in the jaw, neck, or back of neck depending on your positioning.
