The "vibe" is very different on Pilot Edge (PE) during the day. I don't know for sure but I a friend of mine who's been flying on PE for many years tells me that some flight schools have contracts with PE. The only guy stuttering was me, everyone else sounded like they were on top of things. Pilot Edge is an online flight simulator network that allows simulator pilots (different platforms) to fly with live, human Air Traffic Control. All FARs and procedures are adhered to as if in the real world. It's a FANTASTIC training environment. One thing about this flight, and THE reason I chose to fly this flight during normal business hours (lunch break) was BECAUSE LAX was flowing traffic to the East (rare). Certain Tower Enroute Control routes (TEC Routes) are only available during a LAX East flow. It was a decent flight for me, but the controller was a monster. Impressive skill.
