Donate to keep these opportunities for thousands of young people through the Diocese of Leeds Singing Programme at www.dioceseofleedsmusic.org.uk/donate The Sixteen Ignite: Inspire is an exciting programme of workshops designed to open new pathways for young people to enter the choral profession. Focused on nurturing emerging talent and expanding access to opportunities such as the Genesis Sixteen young artists’ programme, these workshops offer a truly unique experience. Led by The Sixteen’s founder and conductor Harry Christophers or associate conductor Eamonn Dougan, participants have the invaluable opportunity to sing alongside members of The Sixteen and alumni from Genesis Sixteen. The high level of professional input provides direct insight into the artistry, discipline, and joy of performing at the very highest standard. Delivered in partnership with organisations dedicated to improving representation across the arts, The Sixteen Ignite: Inspire celebrates collaboration, opportunity, and the power of shared voices — helping shape a more inclusive and dynamic future for choral music. The Diocese of Leeds Schools Singing Programme is recognised as the UK’s leading Catholic singing provision. The programme reaches around 6,800 children across the Diocese every week in over 150 choral groups both during and outside the school day, including boys’ and girls’ choirs in Bradford, Harrogate, Huddersfield, Keighley, Ripon, Wakefield and Skipton, together with the seven choirs of Leeds Cathedral. Leeds Cathedral Choir draws its membership from our whole-class sessions in Catholic state schools across the city. Its seven choirs – for children aged 5 to 18 – sing for the daily Masses and liturgies at the Cathedral, broadcast regularly on national BBC radio and television, have made numerous commercial recordings, and participate in tours, concerts and projects with internationally renowned choral groups including Gabrieli and The Sixteen.
