Host: Joanna Coles, Warren County Extension Agent for Agriculture & Natural Resources Guest: Morgan Mairs, Administrator at the Warren County Soil & Water Conservation District Topic: No-Till Drills & Earth Pan Rentals No-till drills are available for rent at the Warren County Soil and Water Conservation District for $10 per acre + $200 for delivery and maintenance. An earth pan is available for rent at $250 per day. You must have a rental agreement on file at WCCD in order to use the equipment. There is a fleet of 5 drills available, but due to the limited window for use in Kentucky’s weather, it’s important to call and plan ahead if you need to rent the equipment. Unlike many other places, the drills will be cleaned and delivered directly to your farm so that your no-till drill will always be ready for use as soon as it arrives. There are many other programs offered by the Warren County Conservation District including cover crops.
