The Franklin County Coroner’s Office released its autopsy reports of Spencer and Monique Tepe on Tuesday. Spencer, 37, and his wife Monique, 39, were found shot to death in their Weinland Park home two months ago. Monique’s ex-husband, Michael McKee, was arrested and charged with murder in their deaths. According to their respective autopsy reports, Spencer was shot seven times and Monique was shot nine times. Spencer’s report says his cause of death was gunshot wounds to his head, neck, chest and extremities with visceral, skeletal and soft tissue injuries. Monique’s report states her cause of death was gunshot wounds to her head, chest and extremities with visceral, skeletal, and soft tissue injuries. Both manners of death were ruled as homicides. The Columbus Division of Police found Spencer and Monique dead inside their Weinland Park home after performing a well-being check on Dec. 30, 2025. Two children were also inside the home, but were unharmed. McKee was identified as the suspect in their deaths and was indicted on four counts of aggravated murder and one count of aggravated burglary. McKee was first arrested in Winnebago County, Illinois, and extradited to Franklin County. He pleaded not guilty to the charges. If convicted, McKee faces a minimum of life in prison with parole eligibility after 32 years. Court documents allege that McKee was spotted at their property weeks before the deaths.
