This video will give you an update on the restoration of the Sikorsky S-58 helicopter of The Flying Bulls. After a ferry flight to Salzburg, the helicopter was disassembled, most of the parts have been sand-blasted, cleaned and prepared for re-assembly. In this video you’ll get an update on the stripped-down airframe, the detached rotor and fuselage components, and the first steps toward putting everything back together. Our Sikorsky S-58 carries the US-registration N869RB (formerly D-HAUG). Originally built in 1956, this S-58C will be the only airworthy example of its kind in Europe. Developed in the 1950s, it features a powerful radial piston engine mounted in the nose, a four-blade main rotor, and was designed for utility, transport and in earlier military versions, even anti-submarine work. Stay tuned as we track the progress of the restoration to a fully reassembled classic helicopter, ready for many more years in the skies. 👇 follow us on Instagram / theflyingbulls ✈️ find out more about our fleet https://www.flyingbulls.at 🏛 make sure to visit Hangar-7 https://www.hangar-7.com
