As wheat dust and the smell of wheat fill the air, the Frontenac unloads her cargo at LAC (London Agricultural Commodities) in Port Colborne, ON. The wheat she was delivering to Port Colborne was loaded in Thunder Bay. The oldest boat in the CSL fleet, the 729' Frontenac was built by Davie Shipbuilding in Lauzon, QC in 1968 and converted to a self-unloader in 1973 at Collingwood, ON. A famous Port Colborne and Welland Canal landmark, what is now known as LAC Port Colborne, was built during World War II and served as the Robin Hood Flour Mill for almost 60 years. In the early 2000's the plant closed and became a grain storage facility, first owned by Ceres Global Ag. Corporation, before being purchased by London Agricultural Commodities in 2023. That same year the facility was featured in a episode of the History Channel show Salvage Kings. Recorded on December 27th, 2025.
