The first step in building a new model is always to prepare the moulds. As the first step of the series and as a small teaser, this video is availabe without subscription. In this lesson you will learn how to apply a parting agent to the mould. In this case it is a wax, that works well with the polyurethane-coating that we will use. Of course you can use other parting agents, but please be sure to check compatibility with the coating system that you will be using. You will need (apart from the mould): a clean working area parting agent (W700 wax in this case) cotton rag for polishing (an old TShirt is good enough) latex glove optional: polishing cotton (for the extra touch) After this we will continue with masking of the moulds and how to apply a multicolour-layout to the mould.
