Just recently, for example, two further MP-24-1000-400-J2 multi-head weighers were acquired in the USA in combination with product transfer systems for weighing cheese and bacon. These two weighers are part of a line. The first weigher fills one part of a two-part tray with grated cheese and the second weigher fills the other part of the tray with cubed bacon. The bacon to be weighed is fed to the weighing system by a MULTIPOND vibration chute. The most important purchase criterion for the customer was the hygienic design of the J-Generation. After the actual weighing process, the accurately-weighed portions are transferred to the timing hopper with three outlets. A product transfer system developed specifically for this application distributes the weighed portions onto the trays in the GEA thermoforming machine. The product transfer system is controlled by a motor-driven unit, which is a huge advantage in terms of hygiene.
