**GOING SOON/Soon to be allocated B12s** Journey on Bus Route 166 Arriva London (ENL108 | LX11 AWN)

In this video, I film Route 166 between Epsom Hospital and Coulsdon Town Station. The 166 is operated by Arriva London South out of their South Croydon (TC) Bus Garage. The 166 runs between Epsom Hospital and West Croydon on Mondays-Saturdays only and between Banstead and West Croydon daily with a PVR of 8 buses. It uses Enviro200s and MMCs, and is overdue for conversion to electric BYD B12 buses, which it will receive very soon. The 166 is a highly underrated route, probably because I assume not many enthusiasts have actually rode it/taken it in its entirety. The route is like nothing you've seen before. It has sections with steep inclines and descents on some roads, nice hilly sections, and is bursting with greenery at every turn, especially in the section between Epsom and Chipstead Valley. Honestly, just take the route for yourself guys. Without that personal experience, it will just seem like I'm glazing the route. I specifically went out of my way to take this route in full today, even though the 312 is the route I had in mind when I left my house for a content day out as it has recently began converting to the B12s I hinted at earlier. I did that because I know the 166 is the much more interesting route by far, and if I'm to make any memories of Enviro200s/MMCs on TC routes, I want it to be of a good route. I will definitely be back in Croydon for more 166 trips. Allison/Voith Enviro 200 or MMC, whatever. I'll take it. But ideally I would prefer to ride the E200s as the MMCs will see more life at GY where they'll be used for the 375's future allocation, anyway. Guys, I urge you to try out the 166. Trust me, you won't regret it. It's a valid route.
