I had long wanted to see the world's largest lizard and the best way to see them is on a 3-day cruise out of Labuan Bajo, Flores. The lizards live in coexistence with the inhabitants of Komodo Island, who make a living off tourism, and also suffer the threat that the lizards pose, not just to livestock but themselves (we saw 2 maimed persons). The all-inclusive cruise offered plenty to eat and places to explore.
