For years, a freestanding handstand felt like one of those skills that belonged to “other people” — gymnasts, athletes, or those who started training as children. At 40, it felt slightly ridiculous to even try. And maybe that’s exactly why I had to. After watching a friend complete 100 days of dedicated handstand practice and transform her ability, I decided to give myself a goal: Handstand by Christmas.
