This is fundamentally the finished product. I may do a few funky changes as I find the inspiration but, generally we're done and happy with the result. So the primary motivation was to have a personal build experience. I had never actually done this before so, it was a challenge. I must however give credit to Jason at Suicidal Cycle and Rod in Port Kells BC for the frame fabrication and fitting the major components. The design and concept was entirely mine. Why the rat-rod look? Simple, I wanted it to be inexpensive but reliable and inline with my specific set of talents - limited. I assembled, wired and "finished" this bike myself so, scratch one off my bucket list. I do have another on the bench at the moment and I'm still toying with the concept, perhaps a little less ratty? I chose a kickstart bike because my first bike was a kick and it was a real "kick" to ride. I chose an Ironhead because my first Harley was a 74 Ironhead. I wanted the frame to look very retro-garage build and I think it fits well. So, that's it - my 79 Rat-Rod Bobber.
